Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour has hired the Webb Sisters, who were on tour with Leonard Cohen, for his 2024 „Luck And Strange“ tour.

Gilmour revealed in an interview with British Uncut magazine that he hired the Webb Sisters, who toured with Leonard Cohen in 2008-2013, for the tour. David Gilmour and his wife have long been fans of Leonard Cohen. David Gilmour’s wife Polly Samson wrote the novel „Theatre For Dreamers“ about a trip to Hydra at the time of Leonard Cohen’s stay on the Greek island. Speaking to Mary Beard and his wife Polly Samson, David Gilmour told the BBC’s Front Row Late: „I became a fan very early on. I love his work. This last couple of years with dolly, going to hydra, has freshened him up enormously in my mind.“ And his wife replied: He hasn’t listened to anything but Leonard Cohen in recent years! David Gilmour commented: „And he got better and better. There are songs all through his career which are so brilliant.“
