An Hour Before It`s Dark“ (2022). Darauf enthalten auch Marillion`s Tribute To Leonard Cohen Song „The Crow and the Nightingale“. Das Marillion-Bühnenbild im Montrealer „L `Olympia“ zeigte das Leonard Cohen Mural in der Crescent Street. Das Marillion-Weekend fand an drei Abenden statt. „The Crow and the Nightingale“ wurde am zweiten Abend gespielt. Das erste von drei Konzerten wurde als „Abend der Raritäten“ angekündigt und so fanden sich unter den 20 Songs auch tatsächlich erste Songs vom „Clutching At Straws“-Album (1987) wie z.B. ein nicht sehr oft live gespieltes „Warm Wet Circles“ und ein „That Time of the Night (The Short Straw)“ aus der „Fish“-Aera. Der Abend endete mit zwei Zugaben: „Three Minute Boy“ sowie „This Strange Engine“ und einem kurzen Anspiel vom Song „Montreal“ vom 2012er Album „Sounds That Can`t Be Made“ (2012), der auch schon auf die Begeisterung von Steve Hogarth zu Leonard Cohen hinwies. Mehr Infos darüber im Buch: „MARILLION, MONTREAL & LEONARD COHEN“.
The Marillion Weekend 2023 in Montreal was all about Leonard Cohen and the album „An Hour Before It’s Dark“ (2022). It also includes Marillion’s Tribute To Leonard Cohen song „The Crow and the Nightingale“. The Marillion set at Montreal’s „L’Olympia“ featured the Leonard Cohen Mural on Crescent Street. The Marillion Weekend took place on three evenings. „The Crow and the Nightingale“ was played on the second evening. The first of three concerts was announced as an „evening of rarities“ and so among the 20 songs there were actually first songs from the „Clutching At Straws“ album (1987) such as a not very often played live „Warm Wet Circles“ and a „That Time of the Night (The Short Straw)“ from the „Fish“ era. The evening ended with two encores: „Three Minute Boy“ and „This Strange Engine“ and a short allusion to the song „Montreal“ from the 2012 album „Sounds That Can’t Be Made“ (2012), which also pointed to Steve Hogarth’s enthusiasm for Leonard Cohen. More information about this in the book: „MARILLION, MONTREAL & LEONARD COHEN“.
