Vollständig geimpft sind 45,8 Millionen Menschen oder 55,1 Prozent aller Einwohner. Für einen Grundschutz der ganzen Gesellschaft reicht das aber auch angesichts der ansteckenderen Delta-Virusvariante noch nicht.

In bestimmten Innenräumen gilt spätestens ab dem 23. August einheitlich die „3G-Regel“: Es darf also nur hinein, wer geimpft, genesen oder frisch negativ getestet ist. Alle Personen, die weder vollständig Geimpfte noch Genesene sind, müssen einen negativen Antigen-Schnelltests vorlegen, der nicht älter ist als 24 Stunden – oder einen negativen PCR-Tests, der nicht älter ist als 48 Stunden ist. Ausgenommen sind Kinder bis zum sechsten Lebensjahr und darüber hinaus Schülerinnen und Schüler, die im Rahmen eines verbindlichen schulischen Schutzkonzeptes regelmäßig getestet werden.
