KW-31-2022: Ron Wood`s Art : RONNIE’S SETLIST ARTWORK REVEALED AT THE END OF EACH NIGHTS SHOW of the ROLLING STONES EUROPE 2022 SIXTY TOUR

‚During rehearsals, I draw up set lists on big canvases, putting down the songs and the keys they’re in. We hang these set lists on the rehearsal room walls so we know where we’ve been and where we’re going.‘ – Ronnie Wood

‚I illustrate the band’s set lists, sometimes Keith and Mick add little doodles, and they become works of art in their own right.‘ – Ronnie Wood

Over the last two decades, the songs that the Rolling Stones have played in rehearsals, live shows and studio sessions have been recorded by Ronnie Wood in a series of handpainted set lists. The result is a unique collection of canvases that document sell-out tours across the globe.

Now is your chance to have your very own lithographic prints of selected set lists, only available in the Official Ronnie Wood Artwork Store.

Printed on high quality lithographic paper

KW-30-2022: James Taylor on his particiaption on HERE IT IS – A Tribute To Leonard Cohen-Album: When Larry Klein invited me to participate in a Leonard Cohen tribute album, I accepted immediately.

KW-10-2018: Leonard Cohen und … JAMES TAYLOR. Der amerikanische Singer/Songwriter James Taylor feierte diese Woche seinen 70. Geburtstag (12. März). Auch er sieht sich von Leonard Cohen (`s „Suzanne“) beeinflusst. „Suzanne“ „Leonard predates me a little bit, but not by much. The first time I heard any of his songs was Judy Collins‘ version of ‚Suzanne‘ on her In My Life album. I loved her version and it had a huge affect on me and informed my writing. He’s an important writer. I love that line ‚The sun pours down like honey.‘ I recently ended up playing ‚Suzanne‘ over and over. I’d play it at sound checks, I’d play it in hotel rooms, I’d just play it when I picked up a guitar.“

Speaking of this project, James gave this quote:

When Larry Klein invited me to participate in a Leonard Cohen tribute album, I accepted immediately. Both because Larry is a great producer of excellent recordings and a good friend. And because, like almost everyone in my generation, I venerate Leonard Cohen. As soon as I began seeking out my own musical preferences, Cohen’s songs were among my few favorites and had a major influence on my own progression as a songwriter. But because I was slow to choose which Cohen song to record for the project, the available choices to me, were relatively obscure pieces. Still, I was drawn to one that was new to me, “Coming Back to You”. Larry was working to a deadline and opted to cut the song in Cohen’s original key, which was certainly at the bottom of my own range. But somehow moving me out of my comfort zone helped me find my own approach to the song. Like so much of Leonard Cohen’s writing, this lyric resonates deeply with his forlorn and hopeless take on the bleak landscape of love and attachment. So, breathe a deep sigh and, drink up…

Here It Is: A Tribute to Leonard Cohen, will be released on October 14, 2022.
