Im Frühjahr 1976 geht Leonard Cohen auf seine mit 56 Konzerten bis dahin längste Tournee, die „Tour Of Europe“. Nach ihrem Start am 22. und 23. April in der Berliner Philharmonie führte sie ihn durch elf europäische Länder. Leonard Cohen war schon immer „Einer, der aus der Reihe singt“, wie die SAARBRÜCKER ZEITUNG anläßlich seines Konzerts am 2. Mai 1976 in der Saarbrücker Saarlandhalle (wo heute noch ein handsigniertes Konzertplakat im Backstage-Bereich hängt) feststellte.
Das Saarbrücker-Konzert ist eines von über fast 900 Konzerten, die Leonard Cohen in seiner über 50jährigen Bühnenkarriere absolviert hat. Mehr Infos fi ndet man in dem soeben erschienenen 3. In the spring of 1976 Leonard Cohen starts to his longest tour to date with 56 concerts, the „Tour Of Europe“. After the start on 22 and 23 April in the „Berliner Philharmonie“, the tour led him through eleven European countries.
Leonard Cohen has always been „one who sings out of line“, as the Saarbrücken newspaper noted on the occasion of his concert on 2 May 1976 in the „Saarbrücken Saarlandhalle“ (where a signed concert poster in the backstage area is still hanging).
