British Rock Documentary godfather Tony Palmer explains how his long ‚lost‘ 1971/72 documentary film of a Leonard Cohen tour – entitled Bird On A Wire – took decades
to reach fruition in ‚the cut‘ that he’d always desired. Tony Bramwell who’d been involved in an earlier buried reversion of the film explains his side of the story, too, and then sheds light on the later years when he worked with Leonard up until the 1990’s. Leonard’s post millennial return to live touring is discussed here too as are his secret visits to Devon to relax in Tony’s back garden.
