Die neue Doppel-CD „Unfaithful Music & Soundtrack Album“ von Elvis Costello erscheint am 6. November und präsentiert insgesamt 38 Songs. Das Album ist eine Art Soundtrack zu Elvis Costellos Memoiren “Unfaithful Music – Mein Leben”, das im Piper Verlag erscheinen wird.
Costello wählte Songs, die für ihn eine tiefe emotionale Verbindung zu den Themen und Geschichten in seinem Buch bilden. Das Album bietet Hits und Raritäten sowie die beiden bisher unveröffentlichten Titel „April 5th“ – geschrieben und aufgenommen mit Rosanne Cash, Kris Kristofferson und John Lebenthal – und eine von Costellos frühesten Soloaufnahmen “I Can’t Turn It Off” von 1975.
Weiterhin verfügt diese Sammlung auch über drei Audiobuch-Sketche, die nicht in den Memoiren vorkommen, sowie über ein 28-seitiges Booklet, das alle Songtexte und zahlreiche Fotos enthält, einige davon aus dem privaten MacManus Familienalbum.
