Die beiden Kinder gehen aus der Beziehung mit Leonard Cohens langer Lebenspartnerin Suzanne Elrod hervor. Mit Suzanne Elrod war Leonard Cohen nicht verheiratet. Sie lebte mit ihm einige Zeit auf Hydra, später in Montreal und nach der Trennung um 1977 in Paris. Anfangs lebten die Kinder bei Suzanne, später zogen sie zu Leonard Cohen nach Montreal und Los Angeles.

Von einem weiteren Kind aus seiner Liason mit seiner Ex-Managerin Kelly Lynch ist die Rede, im Rechtsstreit zwischen Ex-Manager Robert Kory und Adam/ Lorca um den Nachlass von Leonard Cohens Vermögen. Genaues weiß man nicht, Kelly Lynch, nach dem Rechtsstreit um das Jahr 2005 unauffindbar, soll die damaligen Gerüchte um ein drittes Kind von Leonard Cohen geschührt haben.

Am Freitag war er beim diesjährigen Preis 2023 vor der Erstveröffentlichung im Fernsehen zu sehen. „Die Kälte der Erde“ (Sonntag, 29. Januar, 20.15 Uhr, Das Erste). zur Filmszene: Die Elektroversion von Leonard Cohens Nachtlied läuft auf einer Fanparty, auf der sich die Ermittler einschmuggeln. Das Erstaunliche: Was sich vorher beim Ackermatch geschlagen hat, säuft und tanzt hier bei Cohens zartem Gewisper zusammen.
